Practicing Permaculture

If everyone practiced permaculture we would have a society structured around harmony with nature instead of structured around exploitation of nature. The life of nature (and humanity) on this planet would flourish. It would be abundant with natural resources and the systems in nature would be optimized to peak potential. Three main ethics create the foundation for permaculture. Care for the earth, the people, and the balance to optimize benefit for all life on earth. Permaculture offers a solution to the problems that arise out of the carelessness with our intentions to take resources from this planet.

We only have this one life and this one planet and these unique experiences to improve the well-being of all things. When considering Buddhist philosophy I find that permaculture has ethical alignment there as well. Being humble to the song of nature and dancing in union. This is what is truth to me and this is the only internally ethical path for humanity in relation to all things.

The third ethic means optimal balance and happiness for all. Beings (especially humans) striving for self regulation with equanimity. Overcoming the ego into total selflessness to optimize equal resources to all things alive and interdependent. We implement these ethics by practicing them ourselves and freely sharing our ways with anyone interested enough to listen and learn.
